Ready for a fun-filled family day? Check out the Carolina Renaissance Festival in Huntersville, NC every weekend now until November 22!
We went a few years ago to the Festival so I was excited to check it out again. We had a good time before but this time, it was better than I could have ever imagined.
Some of our favorite events at the Carolina Renaissance Festival were all the live shows that were always to be found. There is something for everyone no matter the age! Afterwards we could not decide which was our absolute favorite, however our top shows included the jousting, the acrobat show, and the pirate show that had comedy and fire eating. It all was entertaining for everyone in the family.
One of my favorite aspects of the Carolina Renaissance Festival was that everyone was dressed in costume throughout the entire area. But not only that, everyone played the part. I couldn’t help but think of the time and effort to transform themselves not only with dress but with talking, acting, and every single aspect into that time period, and to thoroughly enjoy it. I loved how musicians were all around and impromptu stages could be found everywhere as well. The King, Queen, and their court were always walking around.
Of course, we can’t leave out how delicious the food was and for a festival, the prices were more than reasonable! Turkey legs, BBQ, chili, chicken, chicken fingers, salads, wraps, you name it, and they had it! No matter what kind of food you like, there was something there for everyone, young and old.
My niece’s favorite parts were the fairies and the petting zoo. What little girl doesn’t love fairies and petting zoos, right? Oh, and she also loved the camel and pony rides!
We also enjoyed the artisans and spent time watching the glass blowing and blacksmiths!
The very best part of the Renaissance Festival is the friendliness of literally EVERYONE we encountered. From the moment we got there, everyone was always willing to help, guide, stop for pictures, anything and everything that anyone attending needed or wanted, someone associated with the Festival was always helpful and had a smile on their face. I don't think I have ever attended a Festival that every single person involved loved what they were doing!
We spent the entire day there and I want to go back again! Luckily for us, Carolina Renaissance Festival is every weekend until November 22 so we are definitely going to check it out on another day this year! It is a great time to spend with your family or for even a date day. Everyone from young to old will love everything that the Carolina Renaissance Festival has to offer!
